The East coast town of Drogheda in Co. Louth is one of the ultimate locations for an Irish stag party or stag weekend. Hometown of Pierce Brosnan and the famous shrunken head of St. Oliver Plunkett (still on display in St. Peter’s Church) Drogheda has much to offer prospective visitors.

If you choose to host you stag weekend here, you will find that the area surrounding the town is home to several archaeological monuments such as passage tombs and portal dolmens. Being only 35miles North of Dublin, once you make the easy trip to this town you can engage in a game of golf or while the afternoon away whilst fishing. The River Boyne is famous for its salmon, sea trout and brown trout so you and the rest of your stag do can practise their angling skills at their leisure. Other attractions include Causey Farm where you can learn to play the bodhran and Beaulieu House with its classic car museum.
