A few miles out of Clifden is the Ballyconneely golf course which is ideal for a large group such as a stag do to while away the hours whilst enjoying the classic game. Deep sea angling is an extremely popular activity in Clifden and you can charter a boat to take you out for the day with experienced crew ready to show you all the tricks of the trade. Not only can you line your stomach here with fresh locally caught seafood whilst sampling the fine ales on offer, but you will be sitting at one of the locations used in the filming of The Matchmaker back in 1998.
