There is day and night activities galore in and around Roscrea so be prepared to be wowed on your stag do if you opt for this little gem of a town.
Contrary to popular belief a stag party is not all about getting plastered and tying the groom to a telephone pole in his boxers. Daytime activities are a must to complete the perfect stag weekend package. Luckily Roscrea has much to offer in the way of group activities such as golf, horse riding and angling. The angling centre nearby has naturally occurring pike, perch and eel for the lads who fancy themselves as Captain Birdseye. Lough Derg itself is a haven for water sports such as water-skiing, canoeing and sailing, all great group sports to try out.
The nightlife isn’t half bad here either. For a stag do there are pubs and bars scattered all over the town, in styles to suit all. There are also several late night venues so we are sure that this town will be a hit with all involved.

If you are wondering where to have your stag party then look no further than the Wexford town of New Ross. This town dates back to the 6th century and is only a few kilometres away from the ancestral home of the famous Kennedy family. Back in 2008 this town was also used as the setting for scenes for the smash hit American soap opera Days Of Our Lives, so you and the lads may even recognise the streets you will be stumbling along in true stag do style!
This sleepy and historic town comes alive at night with so many pubs that you will find yourselves venturing out on the longest pub crawl you have ever attempted in one town. It is a haven for any group of lads on a stag weekend as many of the bars have licenses to stay open into the early hours of the morning.
Of course no stag weekend is complete without some energetic and masculine activities that the groom’s wife will simply never engage in. Why not help shake last night’s hangover with an archery session or an adrenaline filled afternoon of paintballing across acres and acres of rugged terrain. For the braver members of the stag party there are excellent rock climbing facilities nearby and even sea kayaking for those who aren’t suffering from self-inflicted sickness.
